Bone Char - Product Introduction Bone Char, also known as animal charcoal, is a black, porous material made by carbonizing animal bones (typically cattle bones) at high temperatures (450-700°C) in a low-oxygen environment. The process removes organic materials, leaving behind a mixture of carbon and calcium phosphate (mainly hydroxyapatite).

Chemical Composition: Calcium Phosphate (Ca5(PO4)3OH): ~70-80% Carbon (Fixed Carbon): ~10-15% Other Components: Trace minerals and moisture



Agricultural Applications

Soil amendment: Bone char is a slow-release phosphorus fertilizer due to its high calcium phosphate content. pH regulation: Helps neutralize acidic soils due to calcium content. Biochar-type soil enhancer: Improves soil structure, retains moisture, and enhances microbial activity. Organic farming: Accepted in many organic standards as a natural phosphorus source.

Usage Method in Agriculture

Direct soil application: Mixed into the soil before planting or during land preparation. Recommended dosage: 200-800 kg/ha depending on crop and soil condition. Blended in compound fertilizers: Mixed with other nutrients (NPK) to enrich the phosphorus content. Top dressing: For perennial crops and trees.
